Park
Borderland State Park spans 1,843 acres across Easton and Sharon in Massachusetts, blending history and nature around the 1910 Ames Mansion built by Oakes and Blanche Ames, now preserved with original furnishings and her art studio for guided tours. Acquired by the state in 1971 and listed on the National Register as Borderland Historic District, it features over 20 miles of wooded trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, including Bay Circuit Trail segments and the Quarry Loop to historic Moyles Quarry. Visitors enjoy pond fishing, canoeing, ice skating, sledding, disc golf, tennis courts, picnic areas, and scenic man-made ponds amid forests once transformed from wetlands by the family.
