Park
Granville State Forest covers 2,426 acres in the southern Berkshire Hills of Granville and Tolland, Massachusetts, along the Connecticut border, managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
Once Tunxis Native American hunting grounds and later farmland settled by Samuel Hubbard in 1749, it now regenerates with northern hardwoods and conifers around the scenic Hubbard River, which drops 450 feet over 2.5 miles to form pools and waterfalls.
Visitors enjoy a 22-site campground, hiking and mountain biking on multi-use trails like the 6-mile Hubbard River Trail, fishing, restricted hunting, horseback riding, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing in this remote, peaceful woodland preserve.
