Park
Harold Parker State Forest is a 3,300‑acre state forest in northeastern Massachusetts, spread across the towns of Andover, North Andover, North Reading, and Middleton, about 20 miles north of Boston.
The landscape is a mix of ponds, swamps, rolling hills, and rocky outcrops covered in central hardwood, hemlock, and white‑pine woods, with more than 35 miles of trails used for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, cross‑country skiing, fishing, and paddling.
The forest includes about 11 ponds, remnants of 18th‑century farms and mills, and a modest campground, all managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation as a classic suburban woodland escape for families and outdoor enthusiasts.
