Park
Scusset Beach State Reservation spans nearly 500 acres at the east end of the Cape Cod Canal in Sandwich, Massachusetts, offering a sandy half-mile beach on Cape Cod Bay with calm waters for swimming, seasonal lifeguards, and ADA-accessible boardwalks.
Managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation on former military land including Sagamore Hill—a historic Native American site and WWII fortification—it features a 3,000-foot stone jetty for fishing, shipwatching, and wildlife viewing, plus picnic areas, restrooms, showers, a snack bar, and a 0.7-mile trail to hilltop vistas.
The park provides 98 RV sites with hookups, five tent sites, and a 7-mile paved canal path for biking, walking, and nature programs, drawing campers and families near Plymouth and Cape Cod.
